A Note on This Beer
Chances are, you’ve heard of Pearl Jam. Whether you were jumping in the mosh pit at one of their shows in the ‘90s, or rockin’ to Eddie Vedder’s bold voice on vinyl, you know this grunge-rock band is iconic.
Well, it’s time to get that flannel out of the closet, because Pearl Jam’s entering the world of craft beer!
That’s right! KettleHouse Brewing — one of Missoula, Montana’s first craft breweries — partnered with Pearl Jam’s bassist and songwriter, Jeff Ament, to develop today’s thirst-quenching Pale Ale.
They dry-hopped it with Lemondrop Hops, so each refreshing gulp brings notes of bright lemon zest and juicy tangerines. Meanwhile, the mellow Crystal and 2-row malt bill makes for a clean, easy-drinking treat ideal for hot summer days.
Since Jeff is also a Montana native, the collab was a no-brainer — part of the beer proceeds are even going to his non-profit, to enrich Montana’s rural areas by building community skateparks.
Now, you, too, can crush cans of MPS Pool Ale — as long as our limited stash holds out! Snag a few while you can, ‘cause this brew flows even smoother than Vedder’s voice.
KettleHouse was the first brewery in Montana to put craft beer in cans!
