About This Beer
Fans called Alsin's first run of Munich “dangerously delicious,” saying that it “does a nice job of combining some of the best elements of Doppelbocks and bourbon barrel aging.”
To make it, they age their malty Doppelbock base in Weller Bourbon barrels, which adds robust notes of oaky vanilla to the caramel tones of this refresher.
Tasting Notes
Like the last batch, we expect this edition of Munich to pour dark as night, topped by a finger of tan head with toffee-like aromatics. On the sip, you can look forward to smooth and subtly sweet nuances of bread crusts and brown sugar within a light body. And its toasty nuttiness will lead into a crisp finish with barrel-kissed notes of oak and boozy spice.
