About This Beer
To extract all the crisp layers of fresh bread crust and honeysuckle they could, the brewers used a highly-concentrated, single-decoction mash of locally-grown Texas Pilsner malts. Then, they kettle hopped the brew with Hallertauer Magnum, Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, and Czech Saaz. And they lagered it for five whole weeks in horizontal tanks.
Tasting Notes
The finished result teems with an elegant balance of refreshing malt, hints of lemon, and floral nuances all enveloped in a supremely crushable body. Only a team as technically talented as JK could blend Texas and German terrior THIS beautifully!

Crisp. I'm realizing that I'm thrown off by the way these styles go from sweet to bitter (when I love bitterness in IPAs), so I'm trying to give it a chance. Tbh I would have this beer again.

Well done helles! Clean, floral, sweet/bread, clean finish. Not the strongest flavor throughout, but it's consistent and everything pulls together in a way to make you want another sip

Nicely balanced light grainy aroma and flavor. Medium bodied. A bit hazy for a Helles but this is solid!

I wish American brewers would really learn what a “Munich-style Helles” is before labeling a beer as one. This is a Pilsner.

Nice, crisp, herbal lager

Herbal hop and crackery malt nose, crisp on the palate, but too bitter for a Helles style lager. More akin to a German pils.

good solid beer. nothing too unique but good taste and easy to drink

I’m a huge fan of helles style lagers and while I love Jester king ….this isn’t true to the style and didn’t get the best character from the Saaz hops sadly… I also felt the beer was a little too bitter in the back
