About This Beer
If there’s any sure sign of summer, it’s a cobbler made with fresh, ripe peaches.
Legend has it that Nectar of Aristaeus: Peach Cobbler was transformed by Zeus from a juicy fruit crisp into its current, liquid state.
And while you might think that this nectar sprang fully formed from the head of River Styx brewmaster Scott Cullen, in fact, it began its life as a simple, yet upstanding IPA. When it was just a young brew, it endured trials by lactose and set off on a hero’s journey of conditioning through mountains of peaches and vanilla beans.
Tasting Notes
It returned home as a Milkshake IPA, sweet of nature, dry in humor, and soft on the palate. A touch of spice shadowing its creamy brow hints at the crucible it survived.
Amidst it all, Peach Cobbler has a curious lightness you might even call divine.
