It speaks volumes when the brewers at a tiny brewery in North Carolina are buddies with one of Cali’s most wanted crews! 

Hop Culture calls Monkish “one of the most rightfully-hyped purveyors of the Hazy IPA.” Beer geeks often fly to Los Angeles for the sole purpose of snagging a Monkish release.   

The brewers at Casita have brewed all over the world for the last 14 years, including in Denmark, England, and the hazy capital of the U.S. — Vermont. 

And, when I browsed social media, I found endless photos of Casita brews poured into Monkish glasses! I guess you could say fans of both breweries have great taste in IPAs. So, even 2,600 miles apart, these two brewing titans were destined to work together! 

If you snag some quickly, you have a shot at being one of the first to try this new collab — and oh boy, is it a one-of-a-kind!  

They brewed it with Columbus, Simcoe, Nugget, and NZ Cascade Hops for some seriously tangy dankness. Then, they kicked it up a notch by adding real orange and lemon zest. Cracking into this can is like bursting open a citrus piñata!  

But, you won’t expect it from the color. This juice-hazed Night Island is a dark-as-night, Black IPA. You can trick your friends into trying it without telling them what type of beer it is, then watch their face light up from the surprise juiciness. And it’ll be easy; they won’t turn down a shot at some Monkish & Casita magic.
