A Note on This Beer
Ingredients: A diabolical combo of Mosaic, El Dorado, and Citra Hops. Aroma: Juicy tangerine and ripe, drippy mango. Flavor: A wickedly juicy wave of nectarine and apricot with hints of pithy grapefruit and pine. Mouthfeel: Pillow soft and devilishly smooth.
“Evil.”
That’s how the boys at Virginia’s Adroit Theory describe their juicy and unapologetically bold IPAs.
I mean, yeah, they do give their beers names that are more befitting of a Lamb of God album than a boozy juicebomb, like today’s No Escape From the Darkness Double IPA.
Sure, every bottle is adorned with an intricate, heavy metal-inspired skull that a Hell’s Angel would definitely get a tattoo of.
And okay, I’ll admit that this boozy behemoth is so devilishly smooth, they must have sold their freakin’ souls to achieve that kind of pillowy softness!
But honestly, the only thing that’s “evil” is that Adroit rarely repeat beers and only brew in extremely small batches — making their beers near impossible to find. In fact, their beers are so popular with locals that new releases regularly sell out before they’re even canned!
So yeah, I guess the fact that a lot of hazeheads are gonna miss out on ever getting to taste this brand-spankin’ new DIPA is pretty “evil.” But lucky for our members, we called up those maniacal hazemasters and secured the only stash of today’s 8.2% ABV beast leaving Virginia.
Better grab yours fast, though. The last Adroit DIPA we got our hands on disappeared in mere days, and with fans calling it out as “one of [Adroit’s] best,” I don’t expect this wickedly juicy brew to hang around for long.
Rated 4.28 on Untappd from the lucky few who snagged a taste!
