A Note on This Beer

I have a friend who’s super deep into “astrology culture.” I can’t talk to her without things somehow circling back to blocked chakras, or how Mercury’s misalignment is wreaking havoc on her daily commute.

That’s why, the next time I see her, I’m bringing along a few cans of today’s No Third Eye. After sippin’ this 10% ABV juicebomb together, I know we’ll find more to talk about beyond our astrological dispositions.

Like how incredibly smooth and juicy this behemoth drinks, with shockingly little to no boozy heat whatsoever! Or, how every sip is awash in succulent flavors of ripe pineapples and drippy mango nectar.

And of course, I’ll tell her all about how Transient Artisan Ales teamed up with the Colorado hop heroes at New Image to make it!

Then I’ll explain how they triple dry-hopped it with “massive additions” of lemony Citra, earthy Sabro, and Michigan-grown Chinook Hops to give the beer its fruity-dank flavor. She’ll probably say something like, “Wow, I’ll bet those brewers are all Leos, ‘cause this IPA has my full attention!”

To which I will politely nod in agreement. Right before adding that tipping back a can or two of No Third Eye is a surefire way to keep that pesky planet Mercury from ruining your day.

Awww those chinook hops! For all that ABV you can barely taste the power behind the quenching fruitiness. This one was dangerous!

Flavor of orange, pineapple, soft pine. (thankfully no resin). At 10% it is not far-fetched to taste the alcohol. But it does take away from flavor just a tad. Still good.

NEIPA with slightly different hops. Tropical and citrusy for sure with a touch of pine/resin. Taste is more syrupy than juicy with a strong caramel flavor. Bitterness seems lower than it should be. Alcohol is prominent but not harsh. Smooth mouthfeel.

Deep juice flavor - orange and tropical notes of pineapple come through nicely. Easy drink for 10%. I seem to say that a lot about these DIPA and TIPA beers. Maybe I have a problem? Then again, I have no problem having one more of these soon.
