A Note on This Beer
Every time 3 Sons releases a brand-new beer, I get nervous jitters. What can I say? I love their stuff, and they’ve had entire batches sell out in 57-seconds flat! Seriously!
So, yeah, I was a little jumpy before their None of the Lights release. But, I still came out victorious, with a small stash that I smuggled out of Florida just for you dessert fiends.
Imagine sinking your teeth into a slice of homemade pecan pie, drizzled in gooey caramel. That’s exactly what it’s like to take velvety-soft sips of this Imperial Brown Ale, stuffed with toasty pecans, sweet caramel, and rich cacao nibs!
It tastes like 3 Sons scooped out the inside of the classic dessert, swirled in a healthy dose of chocolate ganache, and canned it! And, with each lush taste, I’m beginning to wonder whether Duff Goldman collabed with the skilled brew team to craft this 7.8% ABV treat.
Actually, they didn’t need the help of the famous baker. The dexterous crew won the People’s Choice Awards for Best Beer and Best Brewery at the esteemed Hunahpu's Day Beer Festival.
So, consider this bit of advice: anytime you see a release from 3-Sons on the horizon, make sure your reflexes are sharp. These cans never stick around for long!
FUN FACT: 3 Sons brewed None of the Lights in collaboration with Friends of Gumbo Limbo, an environmental protection organization that helps promote sea turtle conservation in South Florida.
