For their annual Twin Peaks Day, DSSOLVR got together with their buddies at Petty Thieves Brewing to concoct some damn fine cherry pie. Scratch that — a damn fine cherry pie donut Sour! To make this soon-to-be cult classic, the David Lynch-lovin’ duo loaded a tangy, gluten free base with plenty of cherries, plus vanilla, cinnamon, brown sugar, and cake batter.
Tasting Notes
Allow your taste buds to investigate, and they’ll become immersed in a ruby-red dreamscape of sweet-tart stone fruit filling. Notes of brioche and baking spices surround it all with pastry nuances, glazing the experience with a surreal glimmer.

I savored every sip of this like it would be the last one I ever took. Absolutely delightful and layered. Each sip reopens a new subject of flavor to rediscover. The bread of the doughnut, the layer of powdered sugar, the cherry pie filling, even the light greasing of being fried in oil is beautifully balanced and noteworthy. Honestly, for anyone who's ever had Betty's Cherry Cobbler by Xul, this is basically its doppelganger, minus the layer of spice. One of my new favorites of all time
