I recommend snagging a few fellow hop-fiends (and some newbies too) for a full-on, socially-distanced, beer circle. That’s exactly what these expertly crafted beverages deserve — to be sipped, savored, and enjoyed! 

Here’s what you have to look forward to:

Anchorage Brewing Company, AK - Torn - 8.5% ABV - Rated 4.17 - x 2 cans

Lucky early sippers are calling Torn, “as close to perfect as a Hazy IPA can get!” Needless to say, these Alaskan locals are well aware of the very real consequences of skipping over this Anchorage Double IPA. 

For instance, not getting to experience all its Vic Secret and Citra-hopped glory! Anchorage’s deftly skilled hop talents come through full force in every sip of Torn — pillowy, plush waves of golden haze deliver huge flavors of tangerines and sweet mandarins, while zesty notes of ruby red grapefruit balance it out.

BlackStack Brewing, MN - TDH Thread Count - 8.1% ABV - Rated 4.38 - x 2 cans

The Twin Cities’ juice giants at BlackStack TRIPLE dry-hopped this Hazy comforter with oodles of hand-selected Mosaic, Cashmere, Mosaic Cryo, and Cashmere Cryo.

It’s stuffed like a goose down pillow with plush flavors of ripe pineapple and kush-kissed mangoes. And, all the extra potency of the Cryo Hops contributes to the beer’s velour-like juiciness! 

Resident Culture & Casita Brewing, NC - Inland Times - 8.7% ABV - Rated 4.05 - x 1 can

Inland Times has all the beloved attributes of a favorite Hazy: heaps of Citra, Sabro, Moteuka, and Pacific Sunrise Hops for huge flavor and aroma hits of fresh-squeezed citrus, sweet mango, and ripe melon. Casita and their friends at Resident Culture also brewed the entire batch on flaked corn, alongside an added skosh of Pilsner for a surprisingly light body and refreshing drinkability. 

New Anthem Beer Project, NC - Nothing But Blue Sky - 6.6% ABV - Rated 4.22 - x 1 can

Melon and tangerine from Cashmere Hops jolt the palate awake upfront, making way for plenty of Citra Hops’ OJ gushiness. Mosaic Hops round out the experience with bursts of mango and ripe peach. It all leads to a stunning finish of floral and pine hop bitterness.

On top of that star four-hop combo, a stream of lactose provides silky sippability, alongside a billowy base of oats, pilsner malt, and wheat. It’s truly a star of an NEIPA! 

Bearded Iris Brewing, TN - Double Scatterbrain - 8% ABV - Rated 4.11 - x 1 can

Everyone from Thrillist to Men’s Journal credits this Nashville crew with brewing some of the Best IPAs in the nation!

Today’s Double Scatterbrain is no exception to the excitement. They single-hop this juicy beauty with Simcoe in the boil, and then double dry hop it with Citra. This combo makes for a heavy-hitter imbued with bright notes of citrusy grapefruit, sweet passionfruit, and tangy lime, all backed by an underriding dose of dankness.

Mountains Walking, MT - Grazing Clouds - 7% ABV - Rated 4.01 - x 1 can 

To craft this sumptuous beverage, the brewers at Mountains Walking packed it full of Columbus and Amarillo Hops. Then, they followed-up the powerhouse duo with a hefty double dry-hopping of Weimea, Motueka and NZ-32-2. That’s FIVE hop varietals in one NEIPA!

The result? Subtle swells of lush lychee, ripe peach, and a whisper of pithy grapefruit please the palate — all from the Columbus and Amarillo Hops. Next, the double-dry hopping conjures sweet waves of nectarous tangerine, zesty mandarin orange, and a bite of kush.
