About This Beer
According to the internet, “Oachkatzlschwoaf” is apparently some kind of Eastern European inside joke. Pronounced “oh-kut-zel-shvoaf,” it literally translates to “tail of a squirrel” in German.
This brew is so tasty and true to style; it actually beat out European renditions to snag Gold Medals at both the Brussels Beer Challenge and the World Beer Championships! Which isn’t so surprising when you learn that founder Florian Kuplent learned his trade in Bavaria.
Tasting Notes
It may be hard to pronounce, but it’s seriously easy to drink! A rich, bready maltiness swirls throughout every traditional sip, while hints of toasted caramel and whispers of florals add a depth of flavor to the finish.

Good malt flavor but too much bitterness from the hops. Traditionally should be more smooth in the finish.

Willing to assume I don’t have the palate, but this tastes like Budweiser.

Very nice. Balanced between a toasty Märzen and a boozier-but-paler Wiesn. Incredibly drinkable, loaded with clean malty goodness.

Decent, but doesn’t necessarily separate itself from other Oktoberfest beers

Light, clean, sweet & malt-forward with a nice herbal, spiced character to round things out. One of the better Oktoberfest beers I had this season.

Sweet, malty, brown sugar on the nose. Lighter in the palate than expected, but still delicious. Sweet, slightly nutty, subtly toasty, and a decent bitter finish. I likey.
