A Note on This Beer
Treating your body like a temple is not my speed. (Juice cleanse? Yikes.) I treat my body like a Ferrari, and I feed it that premium oil. By “oil”, I mean Oil Man: Elevation Beer Co.’s refined, pitch black Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout.
Revved up to 10.8% ABV, Oil Man is strong enough to fire-up the fanciest rigs. Elevation collaborated with their friends at Breckenridge Distilling, custom tuning their recipe to get maximum power out of 6 months in their acclaimed bourbon barrels for a smooth, luxurious ride.
All this careful planning brings out a bouquet of char and vanilla aromas from a rich jet-black pour. It’s not only the color of black gold though -- this Barrel Aged Stout has a thick mouthfeel, with flavors of dark chocolate, spiced-oak vanilla, and charred barrel heavy on the palate. A touch of sweetness in the finish barely cuts through this Stout’s roasted coffee tones. Super smooth with sneaky booze -- a match made in heaven.
Untappd user Cory L. said it best: "It’s like motor oil… tasty motor oil.” Well said, Cory. Well said.
