A Note on This Beer
You could say that Fritz Rahr has beer in his blood. During the second half of the 1800s, his German great-great-grandfather founded the first Lager brewery in the US — in Wisconsin. A couple hundred years later, Fritz started Rahr & Sons to inject a little quality craft into Fort Worth’s beer scene.
And this incredible Märzen is one of their best, earning the brewery three GABF medals, a European Beer Star, and a ton of fans.
Rahr & Sons crafted today’s brew in the traditional style, layering each amber pour of Oktoberfest with rich malt to give it nuances of caramelized sweetness and toasted bread. A whisper of wildflowers and peppery spice from the Noble Hops round out its smooth and balanced finish.
And this refreshing, copper-colored sipper dishes up a 6.7% ABV that’s right at home whether you’re hosting a log sawing contest, drinking beer from a boot, or just relaxing at home with a grill full of brats.
