About This Beer
“All I wanna do is drink beer for breakfast” - The Replacements.
Scrappy ‘80s rockers The Replacements were emphatic about imbibing before noon. And that was BEFORE the craft beer explosion that gave us mind-bending concoctions like Matchless’ brunch-worthy Ol’ Smoked Stack!
These Evergreen State alchemists started by loading their chocolately Imperial Porter into Bourbon barrels. Then they doused the batch in rippling ribbons of maple syrup and waited six months. And voila! We've got a rock star breakfast canned and ready to eat, er, drink.
Tasting Notes
The result is a boozy brew you can alternate between sipping and pouring over your flapjacks! We’re talking malty, cocoa vibes covered in sticky sweet syrup flavor.
And with the light barrel character smoothed over by shimmering maple, the smoked oats and nip of bourbon come through to put a bold exclamation point on the most important meal of the day. Oh, and the 9.5% ABV helps, too.
