About This Beer
Opaque Thoughts has been called by craft fans: “the closest thing to a milkshake that a beer can really get!” And frankly, that’s spot on. Between the lactose, the vanilla bean, the pink guava, and the family of hops (Mosaic, Hallertau Blanc, and Strata), Opaque Thoughts is a silky sorbet-like shake of a brew, straight from the diner menu!
Tasting Notes
Like a hand-spun fruit shake, each sip comes filled with sumptuous sweetness and a creamy, thick mouthfeel! The vanilla flavors swirl with the pantheon of fruity flavors, from tart guava to the crisp citrus notes from the hops, all leading to a satisfying, lip smacking finish.

Not the best I’ve had from the but still pretty damn tasty

Tasted nothing like guava to me. Very bitter and then the lactose just performs its dark magic to make a bad beer even worse

Guys, it actually tastes like a guava milkshake. It’s incredible. Drink only if you are feeling like tasting milkshake in your beer or you want to be happier for a day.

It was fine. I just don't know if I like the guava enough to try again.

Not bad for an IPA. Not my go to beer.

Nice mouth feel. Not terribly sweet.

Very balanced beer. You get equal parts of all the flavors with every drink. Most milkshake IPAs overdo the vanilla and/or the lactose. Wish I would’ve bought a few more!

as always, mountains walking can do no wrong! this milkshake IPA is smooth and thick. The guava makes for an amazing drinking experience. I also detected notes of mango and apricot.

first sip my brain though this was going to suck - vanilla and lactose should make this super sweet. But … after sip 5 the sweetness faded and the juicy flavor came through. by the time I was done it was just a fruity IPA.

My THOUGHTS , and feelings are kind of OPAQUE on this one, but overall pretty darn good.

I only recently started drinking IPAs now that they have “milkshake” style IPAs with the lactose to soften the bitter hoppy finish. I usually see Strawberry or Orange, but Guava was a nice addition to the milkshake series, very nice flavor and finish
