A Note on This Beer
We surveyed a group of Sour Ale fans, and here’s what they told us they’re really after:
- More Fruit!
- More Booze!
- More Slushies!
Today’s a great day to be a patron of pucker because we have a new melted-slushie-of-a-Sour from Urban Artifact — the brewery known for crafting brews with ludicrously large amounts of fruit.
While the average brewery makes Fruit Sours with around 3 lbs per barrel, fans know Urban Artifact makes their “Midwest Fruit Tarts” with upwards of 90 lbs of fruit per barrel! They’re insane — in a good way!
The brewers pack today’s Urban Artifact Otto Cycle with a crazy amount of juicy Balaton Cherries, and also hoist it to a boisterous 10% ABV. You know the skimpy little ABVs that typical Fruit Sours contain; they don’t hold a candle to Otto Cycle.
If you’re on the same page as a lot of Sour fans out there, today’s beer smashes all the trending boxes:
More Fruit — Check!
More Booze — Check!
Mega Melted Slushie — Here you go!
