About This Beer
The brewers started with a tart and tangy Brown Ale brewed with imported Pilsner and lightly toasted malts.
Then they aged the brew in Sangiovese wine puncheons for a patience-testing 38 months!
This ‘still beer’ is totally non-carbonated and drinks like fine wine. The brewers even recommend serving it at red wine-temperatures in a stemmed glass! And when you taste it, you’ll understand why.
Tasting Notes
Tannic flavors from the oak mingle with notes of chocolate, raisin, and plum. Hints of lightly roasted coffee balance against a firm acidity, while nuances of fig sparkle in the background. On the finish, a ribbon of aged balsamic sweetness lingers long after the sip.
