A Note on This Beer
Today we’re stoked, because we’re bringing back a brew we haven’t been able to get our hands on since 2015!
It’s the Washington Beer Award-Winning Bourbon Barrel-Aged Overhang Imperial Porter from Seattle’s Two Beers. This dark nectar is only released once a year, and locals snap it up faster than flannel shirts at a lumberjack convention!
If you want to get a sip of this 4.26 BA-rated brew, don’t wait. We only managed to snag a handful of cases this time around, and once our stash is gone, it might be years before we score any more.
Break this one out at a bottle share, and anyone familiar with the West Coast craft scene will crowd around you like Pavlov’s dogs when the dinner bell rings! And so will everyone else once they get a whiff of Overhang.
Pour this ink black sipper into a pint glass and aromas of cocoa, molasses, and a hint of smoky char come wafting up to greet you. Take a sip, and warming whiskey notes from 6 months in Bourbon barrels tantalize the palate, while nuances of oaky vanilla and hints of cinnamon provide layered complexity, obscuring the 10.5% ABV.
Even here in Seattle, getting ahold of this bottle is cause for celebration (and more than a little bragging). Add a bottle of Overhang to your collection, and you’ll have access to the Northwest Stout that even the locals can’t get their hands on.
