About This Beer
Firestone Walker calls this vintage “a Parabajava for the ages.”
They built the lush base with a combination of nine specialty malts forming a deeply roasty, velvety-smooth foundation. Then they matured it for a year in bourbon barrels and infused it with Ethiopian Kayon Mountain coffee from their pals at HoneyCo.
Tasting Notes
A swirl of the glass reveals oak and espresso. Each taste entices with fresh French press waltzing around dark chocolate truffle tones and nougat notes. Whispers of dried cherries come through, courtesy of the high-altitude coffee, adding a layer of fruitiness before a bitter, boozy finish.

This was awesome. Firestone Walker’s vintage series brews rarely disappoint and this was no exception. Huge barrel meets huge coffee to make a flavor bomb.

Well balanced! Not too sweet. Some bitterness. Full bodies stout. Coffee comes through just enough.
4.5
Bourbon, coffee, dark fruit, and maple syrup in the aroma. Coffee bitterness, molasses, and oak along with a steady booziness in the taste.
