About This Beer
Every edition of Parabola erupts with decadent notes of black cherry, roasted coffee, and dark chocolate. The brewers made this rendition of the Russian Imperial Stout all the more complex by storing it away to slumber for more than a year in bourbon, rye, and wheat whiskey barrels! That aging coaxed out notes of fig and caramel with subtle hints of black pepper and cereal grain for sip after velvety sip of satisfying sumptuousness.
Tasting Notes
Notes of fig and caramel from more than a year of barrel aging sing above the decadent black cherry, roasted coffee, and chocolate-tinged base.

Wish I’d bought more. Excellent. Strong Bourbon notes with dark chocolate and light coffee.
Maybe a bit of cherry on the back side. Highly recommended.

Firestone is great at barrel aging for taste but keeping everything balanced. A few flavors in this that all work together.

Chocolate ~ Bourbon ~ Chocolate ~ Coffee ~ Black Cherry ~ the best hint of black cherry I’ve had in awhile ~ no after taste when most beers that include black cherry have a wonky after taste ~ Good!

Starts off with chocolate, bourbon and vanilla, but then the sip finishes off with robust roastiness and rye spiciness. Nicely balanced beer.
