As with all powerful duos, finding the right partner is key! This time around, it looks like The Beer Connoisseur’s 2021 Brewery of the Year found their Affleck in Fountain City Coffee — known throughout Columbus, GA for roasting beans in small quantities to ensure excellence.

In the hands of Wild Leap, the artisan java makes for one lusciously tasty, body-buzzing Imperial Milk Stout! Partners in Crema ripples with dessert goodness from additions of toasted coconut, cacao nibs and a creamy dose of lactose, plus decadent amounts of Fountain City’s coffee, of course.

The brewers first released Partners in Crema two years ago as a limited one-off. But after Beer Guys Radio listeners voted it the Best New Georgia Stout, Wild Leap just had to bring it back for another limited round!

Tasting Notes

Every luscious sip flourishes with notes of Almond Joy, dipped in premium espresso. If it weren't for the rising tongue-to-toe warmth in every velvety mouthful, you might seriously doubt the 10% ABV.

Reminds me of a favorite, Hawaiian Lion, but slightly better. Coconut is upfront but fresh and real. Great coffee finisher notes.

This is a very well balanced beer. Not too sweet because the pleasant coffee flavors. Gracefully hides its abv. Just a joy to drink.
