Some brewers make Pastry Stouts with the same ingredients a baker would use to make the actual dessert.
When the confectionary geniuses at Main & Mill brew a Pastry Stout, they put the whole (already baked-to-perfection) dessert into the brew!
Like today’s Pastry Daze Cinnamon Roll. The brewers crafted it using real cinnamon rolls from their favorite local bakery/cafe, The Corner Cup.
Main & Mill didn’t stop there. They added a blend of high-end Saigon and Indonesian cinnamon, Madagascar vanilla beans, creamy lactose, and a few scoops of raisins — just enough to add a kiss of sweetness without bringing any raisin flavor into the mix.
The sip starts off with the sweetly spiced, ooey-gooey flavors of biting into a freshly baked cinnamon roll, and you even pick up that vanilla icing character as you swallow — it’s brilliant!
Some people will brave the mall to get their Cinnabon fix. Not us beer geeks. We like our cinnamon rolls to be chuggable and spiked with a little booze!
