A Note on This Beer
On those rare occasions where I actually finish a day-long hike, nothing hits the spot like an ultra-sippable, sweet Porter in the evening.
So, when I think of all those brave sojourners who backpack for months along the Pacific Crest Trail, my heart goes out to them because I know the nearest craft joint is often miles off the trail.
Crux Fermentation Project’s taproom in Bend, Oregon is a quick detour and welcome pit stop along the 2,653-mile long trail. Hikers love to relax by the brewery’s outdoor fire pit and sip on a flight (or two) that strikes their fancy.
So, the brewers concocted a sipper to honor these weary travelers — PCT Porter. It’s easy to relax when notes of roasted coffee, semi-sweet chocolate, and sweet molasses float like airy clouds across the tongue.
Whether you just finished a grueling hike or wrapped up an exhausting 9-5 trek working from home, it’s a delightful Porter to have in hand as you prop up your feet at the end of the day!
