A Note on This Beer
Everyone thought Peach de Brettaville was going to be a one time only release, but when the critical acclaim came rolling in with a 4.16 on Untappd and 99 on Ratebeer, Almanac just had to make it again
This beer wins everyone over with fresh peaches, nectarines AND an impressive vinous, vanilla oak depth from an elaborate double oak-aging process.
First, it resides in oak foeders where the right amount of oxygen exposure helps wild yeast cultures complements the stonefruit with the exact right amount of creamy, rich funk and sour snap. Then it’s transferred to fresh wine barrels where it takes on dry mineral crispness and creamy vanilla of a fine wine. There’s so much complexity, the fruits almost get overwhelmed but right at the end a bounty of perfume-like peaches swoops in to leave it’s tangy imprint.
Don’t miss out on Brettaville’s ingenious fusion of dry white wine, succulent peaches and sweet vanilla oak, we don’t know when they’ll make it again!
