About This Beer
Here’s the story of the beer, directly from the brewer themself!
“In 2015, we were trying to figure out what to brew for our annual ‘Christmas in the Backwoods’ at the pub. This Christmas party is an opportunity to showcase specialty beers, and fun seasonals. Our brewer said, ‘I know this sounds crazy, but what if we brewed a Pecan Pie Porter?’ We all loved the idea and decided to brew a small batch. We only needed a few kegs for the party, so we decided we'd send some out into the Portland and Seattle markets. Within just a couple days, all the kegs were sold out and our distributors were asking for more! We brewed another batch and it sold out just as fast. This is now our seventh season brewing this beer!”
Tasting Notes
Notes of rich caramel cascade over roasty chocolate malts, with maple pecan nuances lingering in the back end. And thanks to its light body and approachable 5.9% ABV, you can crush can after can of this bad boy until ‘Pecan Pie Porter’ becomes a fun tongue twister — no matter how you pronounce it.
