Pentuple is Hoppin’ Frog’s GABF gold-winning take on a Tripel. It’s got all the parts of a Tripel, but the Ohio crew focused on crafting it with a super-charged ABV for belly warming deliciousness! Even in their long line of barrel aged boozy brews, Pentuple stands alone as the strongest Belgian-style beer Hoppin’ Frog offers.

Tasting Notes

Each quaff is like a bite of brandy-baked spiced pie. A pleasant floral aroma careens into decadent flavors of dessert. The Belgian candi sugars swell up front, with rich notes of caramel candies and dark, robust clove spices. The finish lingers on the back of its massive ABV, with a belly-warming heat begging for another sip!

Very sweet, enough to balance out whatever hops are in it. Super boozy, but you can barely tell by the taste. This tastes like a crisp barleywine. If I saw this at a bar, I'd definitely order it.

Quite mild for the abv, good Belgian although quite sweet, and a bit alcoholic in the aftertaste. For the rest, strong smell of figs, caramelized fruits, caramel, the taste is sweet, banana, cloves, wood, molasses, spices and toasted bread.

I never give beers 5 stars. But I did for this because it’s THAT GOOD. Despite it being 15%, it’s smooth and the flavors burst with every sip. The fruity flavors aren’t overwhelming but blend with the hops so there’s no dryness or overly hoppy taste. if I could buy a case of this I would, it’s THAT GOOD

Light brown, semi-clear, not too much foam. Smells floral, a little like banana. Medium bodied feel, a bit syrupy. Tastes a bit sweet, a bit floral, and a bit fruity.
