About This Beer
Inspired by the Biere Blanche — Witbier in Flemish, which literally means “white beer” — crafted in Northern France in the early 1900s, every scintillating sip of Petite Blanche is like a step back in time.
Revisiting the style’s traditional brewing techniques, Rowley’s dexterous crew started by rinsing the grains to remove as much color as possible. Then, after a short boil, they added a generous dose of hops. Finally, they fermented the resulting wort using their house mixed culture of souring bacteria, native wild yeasts, and saison yeasts for an effortlessly unique touch of funk.
To round it all out, their skilled team let the fermented beer rest in their 40 barrel foeder, containing multiple batches of that same beer.
Tasting Notes
The effervescent result beams with bright notes of lemon, balanced by a subtle acidity. It’s impeccably refreshing and slightly oaky, with a touch of wheat at the end of the sip — a surprising stunner fit for a sunny day picnic!
