About This Beer
To craft Peyto, the brewers blended a variety of decadent barrel aged dark drams: a Rye Stout, a Wheat Stout, and Maman (the base beer of their infamous Abraxas). Then they finished it all on lip-smacking additions of cacao nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans.
Tasting Notes
Breathtaking chocolate cake nuances erupt from the pitch-black pour, followed closely by layers of caramel, espresso, and crème brûlée. Stunningly complex barrel character and hints of oaky vanilla ripple through the back end of the sip, deepening all the flavors. Meanwhile, a kiss of milk sugar keeps the body silky smooth.
