Ingredients: Massive amounts of Mosaic, Cashmere, Citra, and ultra-potent Citra Cry-Hops. Aroma: Look for lots of citrus — from mandarin to grapefruit to zesty lime, along with hints of blueberry and pineapple. Flavor: Like a crazy tropical-citrus smoothie with plenty of mango and a handful of fresh berries!

Today we’ve got a true ‘beer baby’ to share with ya. 

What’s a beer baby? I’m glad you asked! A beer baby is what happens when two adult beers who love each other very much go see “Titanic,” then have a couple of drinks, and a few laughs. One thing leads to another, and that’s that.

This is how we ended up with today’s Imperial IPA from two of New York’s finest breweries: LIC Beer Project and KCBC!

To make this delicious beer baby, the brewers at KCBC — named Best Brewery in NY by Thrillist — took their 4.20 UT-rated ‘This is Your Brain on Hops IPA’, and set it up on a blind date. But of course, not just any brew can go out with a juicebomb this good-looking. They had to find a seriously hoppy hottie.

Luckily, the 4.35 UT-rated ‘Pile of Crowns IPA’ from LIC was single and ready to mingle! 

After the two brews hit it off (and I’m just speculating here), the award-winning breweries threw on a little Al Green, and left them to ‘chat’ in a motel room for a few hours with a pile of Mosaic, Cashmere, Citra, and Citra Cryo-Hops. 

And a short time later, Pile of Brains Imperial IPA was born!
