About This Beer
OEC is all about updated versions of classic styles, combining new-school processes and experimental techniques with old world tradition. So it makes sense that they would use a blend of traditional single step infusion with new-school processes like cold cellaring pre-packaging to create this Pilsner. The result is the best of both worlds: easily sipped, lightly funky, and completely delicious!
Tasting Notes
A crisp, easygoing start lets up with subtle funk and just a hint of tang on the back. Other than that, this thing is totally chuggable, with a light body that makes the flavors all that more difficult to put down.

it is a very drinkable Pilsner- be ready for a bit of a complex finish, not an American style Pilsner - btw great with pretzels!

Not big on Pilsners, but always exploring and this one was pretty good. Crisp. I was curious about the flavor with open fermentation. Expected it to be a little sour because of that, but it wasn’t. I’d drink this over other Pilsners easily.

Crisp, bready aromas with a big yeasty, biscuity bite on the palate. Slightly clean yet bitter finish with a nice amount of lingering sweetness.

There’s an odd tangy-fruity note that’s discordant to the rest of what’s going on here. Could it be the open fermentation? Maybe. But something is clearly off. What a shame.
