A Note on This Beer
Just look at this pair of Stouts — they’re darker than a black steer on a moonless prairie night.
Seems appropriate considering they come from Oklahoma’s Prairie Artisan Ales, where the brewers know a few things about cattle, wide open spaces, and fantastic Dark Beer.
Their Barrel-Aging mastery has even earned praise from Craft Beer and Brewing, Draft Mag, and Food and Wine!
If you’re a Stout fan, there’s a good chance you’ve sucked down a bottle or two from Prairie, and you’d probably love some more. While you could set out across the plains to score a stash, it’d be a lot more fun to hang at home and let us bring the beer to you.
Just play a game of Oregon Trail while you wait for your crate. And when these delectable Stouts arrive at your door, you’ll have something way better than anything the settlers ever tasted.
Pop open a bottle of Prairie Noir Imperial Oatmeal Stout, and its rich coffee and chocolate aromas are almost mocha-like. Except it’s spiked with a bold 11% ABV! On the finish, hints of Bourbon and a whisper of barrel char linger.
And Vanilla Noir imparts all those flavors, plus an epically creamy finish from aging on organic, fair trade vanilla beans. The addition amps up the barrel notes, creating deeper flavors of caramel and dried fruit along with nuances of oak.
Sure beats the heck out of hardtack and cowboy coffee!
