How did KCBC manage to make this IPA so strawberry drenched? How is it so light and juicy? And, what the heck is a Platypus Rex?

If you decide to search this name, you may find yourself in some unusual corners of the internet. In a way, that’s fitting, because this beer is also unusual. It’s rare to taste so much vivid strawberry creamsicle flavor in an IPA! 

The brewers achieved this by adding Madagascar vanilla beans and 10 pounds of strawberry puree per barrel at the very end of the fermentation process! 

Plus, the combo of Citra, Mosaic, Belma, and Cascade Hops adds a citrusy kick that’ll have you reaching for seconds and thirds. 

Long story short, I’m still not sure what a Platypus Rex is, or was. All I know is that this brew entertains the taste buds and the curious mind!
