A Note on This Beer
When it comes to extracting layers of luxurious tang from rarely seen Talus Hops, the dexterous team at BlackStack knows how to get ‘er done.
Talus Hops are BRAND new, and they have even more oil content than their parent variety, Sabro. That means extra oozy, juicy goodness!
And today’s dangerously luscious 8.3% ABV Pocket Dial bursts with all the notes of pithy pink grapefruit, zesty citrus rinds, dried roses, and plush passionfruit flavor for which ultra-limited hop variety is known.
Still, IPA-lovin’ head brewers Bob DuVernois and Mat Waddell — alongside their 4.24 UT-rated partners at Lua Brewing — don’t stop with just the one hop. They add loads of Strata, Cashmere, Vic Secret, Mosaic Cryo, and Sabro Cryo, producing waves of fresh blood orange, drippy mango, and pithy grapefruit. As you sip it more, the hops deliver a tinge of pine resin, mingled with whispers of sweet papaya.
It tastes like a frozen mango Daiquiri splashed with grapefruit liqueur. And, Talus Hops raise the bar by adding a nuance of sweet rose water to the mix!
Heads up: in addition to being highly sought-after, Talus Hops are only available in limited quantities! And, we don’t know when we’ll see them in the hands of a masterful brewing team like BlackStack again.
