About This Beer
You’ve probably been served a Hefeweizen with a slice of lemon before. It’s a great way to amp up the citrusy, more hop-forward flavors that you tend to find in American Hef.
But wouldn’t it be cool to add something more interesting to your wheat beer?
That’s exactly what the brewers at Liquid Love did with Pool Noodles with Yuzu!
Tasting Notes
If you’ve never sampled this Asian fruit, it’s like a cross between a grapefruit and an orange, with an aroma more like Meyer lemon. It’s delicate, but also tangy with a light pop of acidity.
And you can experience it all with a sip of Pool Noodles. All those citrus flavors sit atop Liquid Love’s bready wheat-beer base like a dollop of marmalade on a toasted biscuit.

barely any notes of yuzu. almost musty in taste and not nearly as fresh as I was expressing. a big disappointment and do not recommend unless you’re looking for a less sweet blue moon hef.

It is a Hefenweissen. but lacks in the Yuzu department. Good beer though

Nice light Hefe. Yuzu is interesting.

crisp and refreshing with a nice exotic tart yuzu for a hint of citrus

Well isn’t that just a unique brew. Not quite sure what I was expecting, and I’m not sure if this is or isn’t it. Definitely a drinkable wheat beer.

Was a good beer overall but I was expecting more yuzu.

I got Belgium brew flavors from the first sip. There were some citrusy notes, but it didn't taste very yuzu like.
