A Note on This Beer
There’s something special about a fancy lobster dinner, and then toasting with a celebratory refreshment. But uniting both craft beer and wine drinkers can be a challenge. Maine’s GABF winning Baxter Brewing offers up an elegant solution with their Prost Secco Ale. Their headbrewer's experience as a former Chilean winemaker shines with the use of fresh Champagne grapes, peaches, and pears.
Merging two worlds, Prost Secco is kettle soured and then blended with a wheat centric ale fermented with a field full of fancy fruits. The result incorporates the sparkling effervescence and delicate, fruity white wine notes with the smooth, doughy, medium bodied character of a subtly tart German-style Berliner Weisse.
Prost Secco was created in order to infuse wine and craft beer cultures. It accomplishes just that, drawing in the wine-drinking crowd to their brewery’s tasting room with its dry and bubbly fruit complexity.
Prost Secco can become a gateway to get your wine drinking friends into craft beer. Tip-toe across this bridge carefully friends, it may lead you into drinking more wine as well.
