About This Beer
Prium is pFriem’s seasonal Lambic aged in French oak barrels on heaps of fresh plums from their friends at Sherwood Orchards.
Tasting Notes
Each sip sings with tart notes of wild funk and pings of vanilla from a full year of conditioning in French oak barrels. Heaps of ripe Brooks and Italian plums from the brewery’s neighbors at Sherwood Orchards impart an intricately sweet flavor that doesn’t overwhelm the tart mixed culture base. Swells of rose, lavender, and white spring flowers float uptop notes of plump blackberries, until a tinge of lemon hard candy rounds out the finish.

Tart, Sour, Juicy, decent amount of plum flavor. This is up there for one of my favorite beers of all time, something I'll drink again whenever I have the chance.

very tart, and a bit funky. if you’re
looking for a sour beer with a fresh taste give this one a try. not the fruitiest beer but I think that’s intentional. complex and refreshing!

Very bubbly beer almost like a champagne.

There’s only so much skill a brewer can have, gotta be some luck involved to get this end result, can’t plan for flavor profiles like this

Dark, almost berry notes, golden tart backbone that provides good support for the fruit. Lightly dark, subtle expression of plumb that's just a bit sweeter without being overpowering.

Nice expression of the style - more sour than expected, with stone fruit notes that aren’t super distinct, but are pleasant and balance out the bite well.

Clear taste of plum. Easy to drink. Highly recommend.

Ripe, jammy plum in a tart lambic base, with just enough sweetness to make it drinkable and notes of hay, elderflower, and roses to make it interesting.

Was a bit nervous on this one as my last couple beers of this type have underwhelmed but this lived up to the hype. A sour charge up front with a nice plum flavor and a ton of lavender on the backend which was beautiful

Very very tart with an evaporative alcohol aroma and first taste, but then the plums hit and they’re very very plum…my. Not sure who is tasting grapefruit lemonade in this but no. It’s nice and floral but that vinegary acidity really hits you in the face.

Super tasty. Refreshing, tart, plummy

Plum flavor is a bit muddled and difficult to identify, but a proper lambic nonetheless: funky, tart, and fruity.

Perfect amount of funk while still being light and refreshing. Excellent Lambic.

Drank it slowly as it warmed to around 65. Love the tartness and mouthfeel when cold and the smooth oakiness when less cold.

Very tart. Very fruity. Very complicated flavors. Maybe too much so? Good, but not great.
