Today’s boozy Imperial Stout may tout a beastly 13% ABV, but of course, that hasn’t stopped some folks from attempting to down a whole bottle in one sitting.

Especially since the award-winners at Moonraker loaded it with heaps of roasted espresso, Madagascar vanilla beans, and whole lavender flowers, making every sip taste like a decadent, spiked lavender latte. 

Take, for example, @brown_beard_actual on Instagram, who declared, “I need that in my mouth hole,” before proceeding to dump it all down his...er, mouth hole.

Or @BeerMe on Untappd, who couldn’t even detect the hefty ABV behind the heaps of roasted espresso and layers of dessert-like decadence, exclaiming, “This is lovely!!! Vanilla and coffee, plus a light floral flavor. Delish!”

Then there’s @jdwyatt333, who was so blown away by its thick, chewy profile, he indulged in a whole stash of the boozy treat: 

“This beer is so damn good, I bought four, drank two, and am saving two until the time is right!”

Which, frankly, is a pretty solid plan. ‘Cause away from the West Coast, it’s pretty much impossible to get your hands on a beer from Moonraker, especially a one-off, small-batch sipper like Psychedelic Buffalo. 

And since these Cali natives have racked up a stellar 4.12 brewery rating, a pantry full of awards, and a spot on every “Best Of” list from Thrillist to Gear Patrol — all within 3 years of opening — I expect every craft fan from Albuquerque to Albany will scramble to get their hands on a bottle.

So go ahead, take a page out of @jdwyatt333’s book and load up on a small stash of this buffalo-sized sipper. 

But maybe don’t try to drink two entire bottles in one sitting.
