The GABF award-winning husband and wife team at 903 Brewers are making me thirsty just thinking about today's slushy-style brew.

They craft it with blackberries, pineapples and marshmallows — but, if you ask them how much fruit they use, they’ll smile and say, “It’s classified.”

If the sky-high pyramid of fruit crates on their Instagram is any indication, it’s a LOT.

They puff up Puft Daddy with real marshmallows for a creamy mouthfeel that balances out the juicy, ripe blackberries and tropical pineapples. The brewers added these flavorful adjuncts to a tart Berliner Weisse base for that perfect blend of sweet and sour.

Berliner weisse ordered from Tavour. Poured into an imperial pint glass. Look: Deep, dark red color, the color of blackberry. One inch dark red head with a top of tick rich puree. Smell: Sour berry, vanilla with a hint of pineapple. Taste: Somewhat acidic and sour/tart berry. Front end we get berry (blackberry with a hint of vanilla), mid taste trace pineapple in the hose. The after taste is of mild blackberry, pineapple and vanilla. Feel: Full puree,. light carbonation, heavy berry acidic mouthfeel. 903 does this slushy Berliner thing very well. In a separate review we reviewed a different slushy and said it was more like a smoothie than a beer. The amount of puree is incredible and if that is your thing you will love this beer. We lived in Texas and this is one of the places we didn't try face to face, but since we are traveling to Dallas soon... well we will give it a go... love 903. They are creative and have amazing beer.

Very sweet, hit with pineapple first, then blackberry but marshmallow was nowhere to be found. It poured and looked just like a slushy, with massive amounts of fruit residue left on the glass behind.

This one is THICK! Reminded me of a pineapple blueberry smoothie. Very easy to drink. Wish I could have tasted the other ingredients a bit more. LOVE the label art!

Impressive beer, the first Berliner weisse I’ve ever tried actually, and this one made me feel as if I had just left a smoothie bar. Very thick and fruity beer that tasted amazing.

Really enjoyed this one. My first sour with marshmallow. I was skeptical buying it but the blackberry tartness and the tangy nature of the pineapple evened out the sweetness of the marshmallow.
