A Note on This Beer
Tell me you’ve got a delicious Belgian-style Tripel, and I’m there. Say it’s brewed with all the flavors of a pumpkin spice donut, though, and I’m never leaving!
That’s exactly what the folks at Wild Leap did, and it tastes just like a sweetly spiced baked treat!
The Wild Leap crew started by brewing a rich, malty Tripel for a deliciously doughy base, swirling with traditional, big Belgian flavors. Then they added some seasonal flair in the form of pumpkin pie spice.
Bright bakery aromas perfume the air with each pour. Cinnamon-y, nutmeg sweetness and ginger spice open every sip, chased by subtly bitter clove and complex compliments from fruity esters. A bit of sweetness on the backend invites another taste. The decadent pastry notes brilliantly mask a bold 9.5% ABV.
Delightfully intricate and balanced, this pumpkin-spiced sipper is anything but basic! But with fewer than 20 cases, those looking to indulge in the flavors of the season do nut want to sleep on this one!
