A Note on This Beer
Anything wine can do, beer can do better — and today’s Punchline Wild Ale proves it.
Even the expert palates at Sip Magazine say “Punchline is a drink that will turn heads!”
The crew at Dwinell Country Ales first crafted a rustic, farmhouse-style Wheat Ale, then co-fermented it with petite syrah grapes using local, wild yeast. The result is a beer that will delight craft fans and wine lovers alike.
With soft, slightly tannic notes of raspberry, plum, and white grape, it’s almost reminiscent of a full-bodied Rosé. But the tangy body provides a subdued acidity with gentle nuances of oak. A touch of bready malt and subtle funk from the base brew round out the sip.
Just like the spread at a fancy supper, this brew has a little something for everyone to enjoy.
On second thought, you might NOT want to bring it to a dinner party. Your friends and family are liable to drain the whole bottle before you’ve had a chance to fully explore this incredibly complex Ale!
