About This Beer
The Cashew Apple is a very rare fruit, from which cashew nuts are attached! But the fruit itself is an entirely different ball game than the nutty, savory seeds we all snack on merrily. The apple is a complex, funky fruit primed for an exquisitely rare take on the Sour Ale style.
For the fruit beer aficionados at Urban Artifact, an opportunity to brew with them didn’t even raise an eyebrow. It’s adventurous, it’s unique… and by George, it’s delicious!
Tasting Notes
It starts with plenty of funk and semi-sweet flavors from the cashew apple. The tart afterglow of the papaya comes through afterward, refreshing the palate from the exquisitely curious flavors that preceded.

Lightly sour, fairly dry. Smells like cashew nuts but tastes like fruit. Really interesting and subtly different.

Definitely interesting. A bit sour and not sweet at all. I was expecting a bit more pop from this one. Overall, different and not sure I would drink again

Too tart, the fruit and nut additions were vague at best.
