That’s exactly what the brewing masters at Deschutes did with this variant of their famous Porter. It tastes like a piece of dark chocolate torte smothered with a luxurious layer of jammy raspberries! 

Needless to say, Raspberry Black Butte Porter might take the literal cake for Black Butte spin-offs.

Deschutes crafted this confection by first adding flaked oats to their original brown Porter base. The oats boost the beer to all new, silky-soft heights, and create a balancing backdrop to the rush of real raspberry flavor. Every sip teeters between delicious notes of bold chocolate malts and vivid, sun-ripened fruitiness. 

It’s downright decadent and rich — a dessert in and of itself! And, it’s an absolute must-try for all of us OG craft fans whom, 26 years later, STILL can’t get enough of the iconic original!

Deschutes won 3 medals and crowned the Grand National Champs of the 2020 Open Beer Championship. They also boast an astounding 43 GABF medals!
