- Rum Layer: Old Rumskull -- AleSmith took their GABF award-winning Barleywine and aged in rum barrels from Nicaragua. Think caramel notes, woody spice, and sweet molasses.
- Red Wine Layer: Red Wine Barrel-Aged Quad -- This is a richly malted, jammy Belgian-style Quadrupel, aged in California Red Wine barrels for notes of oak, dark fruit, and tannins.
- Bourbon Layer: BBA Noble Empire Imperial Porter -- An imperial version of a traditional English-style Porter, this roasty brew is soaked with chocolatey decadence and sweet vanilla notes from the bourbon barrels.
After blending, AleSmith ages Reforged XXI in oak barrels to meld the complex flavors into smooth harmony. Aromas of blackstrap molasses rise from a dark mahogany pour. One sip and you glide through each barrel -- rum-soaked raisins, vanilla-bourbon toffee, and sangria-kissed plums and figs sweep across your palate.
