A Note on This Beer
Today, I’ve got a delectable Sour Ale from Anchorage Brewing!
For a lot of you Sour lovers out there, that’s all I have to say. You see ‘Anchorage’ and ‘Sour’ in the same sentence, and you snag yourself a bottle.
Smart move! The last time we managed to grab a tiny stash of this brew, you all rated it an impressive 4.15 on Tavour! But this time around we have fewer than 300 bottles, so you’ll have to act fast to add one to your cellar.
But, if you’re still not convinced, check this out: brewmaster Gabe Fletcher fermented and aged this tart treat on oak, then loaded it up with a ludicrous amount of Montmorency cherries!
These are some of the finest cherries for the job. I know, because they sourced the fruit from de Garde Brewing — the legendary Sour brewery in Tillamook, Oregon. That crew has the hookup to get the very best from their local orchards!
Then, Anchorage transforms those tangy cherries into an earthy brew with hints of cinnamon spice and wild funk. A fruity sweetness lingers on the finish.
Snagging this bottle is a serious treat for any Sour fan, but you have to beat all the other cherry-loving Anchorage guzzlers if you want a sip. And you’d better hurry, because they’re not going to spend precious seconds reading all this before they hit ‘Get It’.
