That’s how co-founder Roger Wanner describes W A Meadwerks. It’s the only meadery in Long Island, and locals can’t get enough of their delectable honey wine!

And, while Roger and his partner, Joe Abruzzo, use the highest quality orange blossom honey available, the honey isn’t at the forefront of these Meads. Instead, it’s the source of the alcohol, and what Roger describes as “the supporting character” to the rest of the flavors.

Today, they’ve graced us with a batch of their delicious best seller, Res Q Mead. This delightfully effervescent sipper bursts with so much real strawberry and raspberry juice, it caused craft fan @Joseph W. to shout, “made me want more and more!” 

And, @Frank R. raves, it’s the “perfect balance of fruit and honey, pure deliciousness.”

This “pure deliciousness” has already put the two-year-old meadery on the map! They’ve medaled at some of the country’s premier Mead competitions, including the Texas International Wine Competition, the Mead Crafters Competition, Orpheus MeadFest, and the Mazer Cup International Mead Competition!

In Long Island, their Meads are so popular that they went from 60 to 300-gallon batches in just two years! But, even with all of the hype, only Long Island locals and visitors could indulge in the magic of these Meads — until now.
