About This Beer
Sipping on Revenant is like tasting the ghost of dark brew past. According to the team of craft masters at Magnify, “this unadulterated Stout will bring you back to the craft beer days of old.”
Tasting Notes
Big notes of dark baker’s chocolate, artisanal espresso, dried dates, and fresh baked pumpernickel swirl on top of an extra roasty, malty backbone. A subtle specter of floral herbs haunts the full-bodied finish thanks to the measured late addition of hops.

Absolutely nailed it. Outstanding RIS.

a heavy aftertaste of dark chocolate, a bit more of a coffee flavor could mask the bitterness, almost like eating baking chocolate

while i love big, boozy stouts... this is a true to form RIS. no barrel, bells or whistles. and very well made.

Like drinking bitter coffee. it even had a gritty taste like the beans weren’t ground right.

Poured from a 16 ounce can into a snifter.
Look- Black, frothy light brown head, opaque, average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Toasted oats, cocoa, slight coffee, weak strength of scent.
Taste- Toasted oats, slight cocoa, slight coffee, medium strength of flavor.
Feel- Between medium and full body, average carbonation, mild bitterness, moderately creamy, mildly mouth warming.
Overall- Black appearance with average head retention and lacing. Bouquet was weak in strength and malt heavy. Flavor was medium in strength, but also dominated by malt. Feel was a medium-full body with moderate creaminess and mildly mouth warming. Overall the malt flavor dominated and the hop flavors were just not vibrant enough to break through.

Nice chocolate notes. Slightly more carbonated than I expected. Hops add a touch of bitterness.
