A Note on This Beer
There are uber-rare beers, there are top-shelf bourbon barrel-aged beers, and then...there is Rhino Suit.
Folks, I’m trusting you to be responsible with this special Milk Stout*. We at Tavour don’t get our hands on Rhino Suit very often — heck, few craft fans do. That’s because the artists at Alesong stick to small batches of this liquid velvet!
They aged their chocolatey, malty Rhino Suit (2021) base Stout in freshly-emptied Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels with cocoa to imbue it with luxurious ripples of vanilla, caramel, and chocolate flavors. Every silky-smooth sip tastes like a swig of rich, spiked cocoa as its whipped cream topping melts into the mix.
Look, I’m not going to criticize a single thing about the brewers’ process for crafting this winner year after year. But such a complex, delectable, rare Imperial Milk Stout is definitely more of a unicorn than it is a rhino!
Alesong took home five medals AND the Brewery of the Year award at 2021’s Oregon Beer Awards!
*Milk Stouts contain milk sugar. Just a heads up for our lactose-sensitive craft fans!
