A Note on This Beer
The last three beers we managed to score from Adroit Theory’s G.I. Joe vs. Cobra series all scored 4+ on Tavour.
Which means, either you guys really love G.I. Joe, or you’re just huge fans of hopped-up juicebombs!
Either way, today’s brew has you covered. For the haze fans, it’s double dry-hopped with Mosaic, Citra, Sultana, El Dorado, and just a pinch of Ella Hops.
For the action-loving cartoon bingers, the can features a portrait of the one and only Snake Eyes! That’s right, the original G.I. Joe Commando, who made his action figure debut back in 1982.
We don’t know much else about Snake Eyes — his real name remains classified — but we do love his beer! Every sip bursts with tangy tangerine notes, punchy passionfruit, and just enough resinous pine and pithy grapefruit on the finish to invite the next sip. And, with a towering 10% ABV, it’s almost as strong as an actual commando!
If you manage to score a stash of this Imperial IPA before our little stash disappears, consider yourself lucky — Adroit brews never last long around here! If you’re fortunate enough to hoist a pint, make sure you give the proper cheers. I recommend a hearty “YO JOE!”
Fun Fact: Hasbro Toy Company decided to give Snake Eyes a mask because it was cheaper than painting faces on all the action figures. It doesn’t matter, still cool!
