A Note on This Beer
If there’s anything I take seriously, it’s talk of tacos.
I have a whole checklist of things dedicated to the affair. I’m gonna need my signature taco bib, my “Let’s taco ‘bout it” dad cap, and of course, I’ll need a breezy brew to wash it all down.
I find that the best beers for taco night are those easy-drinking quenchers with a lot of bright fruit character. Just so happens, Divine Barrel’s latest Berliner is a perfect fit for the job — they crafted it to taste like a pineapple upside down cake!
The playful flavornauts at Divine Barrel brewed Rumor of Tacos with real additions of ripe pineapple, luscious coconut, and creamy lactose. A wheat malt backbone mixes with the lactose and fruits for flavors of airy angel food cake topped with coconut frosting, caramelized pineapple rings, and just the lightest drizzle of tart cherry compote.
Sure, it’s not taco-flavored (not even close!), but I’ll tell you what: last Tuesday at dinner, I cracked into a can with my tacos al pastor. It brought all the flavors of that dish to a whole new light!
So, whether you’re in the mood for some easy-drinking pineapple dessert, or you crave a tangy crusher to pair with your next taco dinner, I would say you can’t go wrong with Rumor of Tacos.
