Of course we’re talking about Avery Brewing Co.’sfamous Rumpkin Ale – lauded by RateBeer as one of the top ten Pumpkin beers in the world!

Uniting fresh Rum barrels, 2300 pounds of pumpkin, 38 pounds of cinnamon, 32 pounds of nutmeg, 25 pounds of allspice, and 4 pounds of ginger … it’s safe to say this limited release is dangerous, delicious, and should only be reserved for hardcore pumpkin fans.

Glowing tawny amber in the glass, Rumpkin creates its own light. Take a whiff of its candied yam, brown sugar-liqueur aroma and you’ll feel the buzz before you even take a sip. Pure maple pumpkin swims upfront while the spices build into a bright rum-sting on the tongue – but for all its decadent, boozy bravado, this beer is surprisingly balanced.

Rumpkin’s marriage of naturally spiced black rum and over the top pumpkin pie flavors makes it one of the spiciest and booziest Pumpkin Beers you could hope to find. Just don’t underestimate its hefty ABV backbone.
